🐄 Welcome Zac, Our Newest “Homegrown” Calf

We’re thrilled to introduce the newest member of our farm family—Zac! Born on Friday night to our beloved mama cow Maple, this red little cutie fits right in with our tradition of naming calves after country music icons. And this time, we honored one of my all-time favorites: the Zac Brown Band.

This marks Maple’s third calf, and guess what? That’s three boys for three. I’m putting in my official request for a girl next time—just saying! 😊

Zac and Maple spent their first two days tucked away in the lamb pasture, enjoying some quiet bonding time. Casper and Cotton (our ever-curious lambs) were thrilled to have a sleepover with the bovine duo—there’s never a dull moment around here.

Today, Zac and Maple rejoined the rest of the herd. Daddy Licorice was the first to give Zac a little hello before everyone settled back into their usual rhythm—as if nothing had happened. That’s farm life for you.

Now comes the best part: watching Zac grow! Over the next six months, we’ll get to witness his journey and personality unfold before he finds his forever home with another lucky farm.
